Got 30 minutes after school on Monday? During the year, Mentor Mondays will offer short informational sessions on a variety of topics. If you missed the session, we can work with you individually and you can also download the handouts available below.
QUARTER 1
Session 1: August 4-19 - Teacher Tech Tool Help (R. Fitzgerald/Tech Team) Need help with L/Notes, Edline/EGP, Set up your DOE password, etc? Find out how to access Google drive through this step-by-step seminar. We will also have ideas for advanced use if you are ready! Session 4: October 10-Novemeber 3 - turnitin.com Take advantage of the school site license and try it out! turnitin.com is good not only to check for plagiarism, but also help students edit their writing for grammar, punctuation and usage! J. Yamamoto and the tech team will help you set up your classes and provide tips on how to use it for your students. Note: For Period 1 LT, let us know if you would like a session. Learn tips and tricks to make management of grades easier. Thanks to J. Tosaka for sharing many of these suggestions! Attend this session to get individual help from the mentor/tech team. The library is kicking off their eBook collection available to students and staff! Need something to read over the break or for the 25 book club? Come to the library (not N203) for this session and learn how to set up accounts for you and your students! Please bring: •8 digit ID employee number (the one you use for PDE3) •A device to download the app if you want it on your device. If not, we will use the computers in the library to set it up. •Email address •Kindle info if you have an Amazon account (not needed for this session) •If you have a public library current account (card number and password) we can also link that to your OverDrive account. Program Meeting
Beginning and teachers new to Leilehua may be together during Program meeting time. The purpose of these meetings is to provide a venue for the teachers to share their success and challenges and to ask any questions, etc. We normally meet in B. Nomura's room (101) for those Monday afternoon meetings. NOTE: Effective January 2015, these sessions have been cancelled as administration has changed the meeting schedule. However, feel free to contact us anytime!
