Wisler) Location: HH203 November 16 - How much do I make? How can I make more? Why not make more money doing the great job that you do? (S. Maruyama) How do you earn more money through contract negotiations or taking classes? How do I become National Board Certified? We will review the salary schedule, the PDE3 site to help you understand the reclassification process and learning about the National Board Certification process that provides teachers with a yearly bonus. Linda Willoughby, our PCNC will teach us how to make a holiday ornament (sample in the library workroom). Cost is 1.00 for supplies, RSVP by December 4. Learn about this FREE tech tool you can use for instruction or student production! This is part of a credit course, but all are welcome to join us and learn about Piktochart. Location: Library February 29 - Chromebooks: What are they actually good for? (J. Chow). Jay is piloting a one-to-one chromebook project in math. He will share the pros and cons on its use as a student learning tool, as a teacher office tool and using Google Classroom. Location: P-8 March 8 - Rubrics (S. Maruyama). Using a rubric is one type of assessment, but there are different types - holistic, analytic, single point and weighted. Are checklists rubrics as well? Learn how to use the free tool rubistar4teachers.org to create your own rubric. This is part of a credit course, but all are welcome to join us and share about our use of rubrics. |
